Siemens Digital Industries Software is incorporating FoodChain ID’s food supply chain compliance and regulatory information into the Siemens Xcelerator industry software portfolio. The collaboration between the two companies will enable Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturers to employ Siemens software to maintain product quality while managing the complexity of regional compliance.
Integrating FoodChain ID’s industry data into Siemens’ Teamcenter software is designed to give product development teams visibility earlier in the process on how to design, manufacture and market products in different regions across the globe. This should help reduce the complexities of regional compliance and build better, more sustainable consumer packaged goods and products.
FoodChain ID’s expertise in compliance and regulatory information is delivered as part of Siemens’ Integrated Lifecycle Management (ILM) digital thread, based on Siemens’ Teamcenter.
“We are excited to collaborate with Siemens to bring our expertise in formulation and regulatory compliance to the Teamcenter ecosystem,” said Clinton Chadwick, vice president, Strategic Partnerships at FoodChain ID. “Teamcenter already includes Siemens’ unrivalled expertise in process manufacturing and this collaboration enables us to deliver our best-in-class formulation capabilities and trusted regulatory compliance for the food and beverage, cosmetics, and personal care industries tightly integrated into Siemens’ incredibly robust PLM solution.”
“By adding compliance and regulatory information from FoodChain ID to our leading Integrated Lifecycle Management digital thread, the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio brings early and upfront visibility on how to design and market a product in different countries and regions,” said Mario Vollbracht, global vice president, Consumer Products & Retail, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “This collaboration will help product designers maintain product quality while also helping them to manage the complexities of compliance across the world’s regions.”
