Quanergy Systems has announced that it has sold over 1,000 solid-state lidar sensors in the last quarter 2021, in a sign of the increasing uptake of lidar in industrial automation applications.

Quanergy provides smart LiDAR solutions that are used for precise object detection and collision avoidance for a growing number of industrial automation applications.

We use their smart LiDAR solutions to detect height limitations and do volumetric measurement, for flow management and people counting to reduce long lines in retail, gyms and public spaces. We also help various customers improve their overall operational safety by identifying and tracking authorised operators in dangerous operations zones.”
