PTC introduces ThingWorx 10.0 IIoT platform

PTC has released the latest version of its ThingWorx Industrial IoT platform. ThingWorx 10.0 boosts the platform’s the scope and performance of its time-series processing of industrial data. It also enhances caching and performance, with improved server scalability.
The platform also introduces improved security, with updated TLS, Tomcat and Java. PTC claims ThingWorx 10.0 as its most secure yet and that it meets the cybersecurity requirements of federal A&D and MedTech.
Another enhanced capability of the new platform is Windchill Navigate. This now supports more robust guidance for frontline operators. This enhancement is aimed especially at industries such as automotive and electronics.
The new platform’s Connected work cell (CWC) is designed to provide real-time, contextualised data and digital instructions at the point of work. It aims to streamline operations and enhance the connected worker experience in high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environments
ThingWorx 10.0 also features Real-time production performance monitoring (RTPPM) and digital performance management (DPM). These are optimised to drive throughput, minimise downtime, and provide actionable insights for rapid response to production issues.
