Parsec Automation, developer of the MES TrakSYS, has announced a collaboration with Microsoft that previews new AI-powered capabilities for manufacturing organisations. The company is developing an AI-enabled MES, TrakSYS IQ, which will utilise Microsoft’s Azure AI Foundry technologies. The new system will enable users to retrieve and analyse factory data through a conversational interface.

According to Parsec, future manufacturing will be determined by AI-driven human-machine collaboration that will drive productivity and accelerates decision-making.

The vision behind TrakSYS IQ is to streamline data access and reporting, reducing friction in how users interact with production intelligence. The integration of TrakSYS data with Microsoft’s platform demonstrates the potential of emerging AI technologies to support more intuitive and efficient factory operations.

Beyond text-based responses, TrakSYS IQ will also enable the generation of dynamic visuals, including charts and graphs, to support richer analysis. TrakSYS IQ is anticipated to be available in late 2025.

“TrakSYS IQ will bring manufacturing leaders closer to the data that drives their organisations,” said Bill Rokos, CTO at Parsec. “Customers will be able to interact with TrakSYS using natural language and receive contextualised insights. While this functionality is still evolving, it reflects our ongoing commitment to simplifying complex manufacturing operations and unlocking the full potential of data through AI.”

“The TrakSYS IQ integration will make a big difference in the day-to-day lives of manufacturers,” said Dayan Rodriguez, CVP, Manufacturing and Mobility, Microsoft. “Together with Parsec, we are working to help customers transform their businesses, and we’re delivering impactful, human-centred solutions to the market every day.”
