Singapore-based VIZZIO Technologies and FOXCONN INDUSTRIAL INTERNET (Fii) are partnering to develop digital replicas for Fii’s World Economic Forum Lighthouse Factories across the globe. The two companies are employing satellite imaging and AI to develop immersive 3D representations of interior layouts of manufacturing facilities as well as urban environments and street perspectives.

The collaboration between Fii and VIZZIO extends across all Fii’s WEF Factories. It aims to create a standardised digital twin experience for Fii’s manufacturing hubs globally.

The digital models will provide infrastructure, GIS and 3D maps for creating digital twins across the whole of Fii’s worldwide manufacturing facilities. According to the companies, it will improve on traditional aerial photogrammetry.

“Starting with Ingrasys Maufacturing Facility in TaoYuan (Taiwan), Fii ‘s partnering with VIZZIO to build digital twins for our Lighthouse Factories, certified by World Economic Forum (WEF) is a testament to our dedication to innovation and efficiency. The collaboration not only enhances our operational capabilities but also reinforces our commitment to sustainable and resilient manufacturing practices,” said FOXCONN INDUSTRIAL INTERNET CDO Zongchang Liu.

“This collaboration represents a seminal moment in digital manufacturing innovation, where precision converges with sustainability. Our expertise in planet-scale 3D city mapping and modelling, combined with Fii ‘s industry prowess, establishes a groundbreaking standard for crafting all-encompassing digital twins for smart factories that redefine operational excellence,” said VIZZIO CEO David See.
