Winnipeg-based Farmers Edge has launched Corvian, an enterprise technology division to accelerate digital transformation across agriculture and sustainable supply chains.
Corvian will offer two main solution pillars. Enterprise Technology will include ready-to-deploy or custom-built digital solutions for white-label platforms, data, and technology licensing. Strategy & Advisory will provide technical guidance, programme design, and implementation support to help enterprises run digital initiatives.
The division is backed by Fairfax Financial and will build on Farmers Edge’s existing technology infrastructure. This includes 36 AgTech patents, over 100 million acres of processed data, and more than 8 million acres digitised for carbon programmes across North America.
According to the company, Corvian aims to address long-standing barriers in the agriculture and sustainable supply-chain sectors, including fragmented technology ecosystems, legacy systems, limited internal technical capacity, and rising compliance requirements.
The division will operate independently of Farmers Edge’s grower-facing operations and its soil analysis and agronomic insights brand, Farmers Edge Laboratories.
“Across the agriculture value chain, the differentiator is no longer access to data but the ability to execute with it,” said Amit Pradhan, VP of Strategy.
