Accenture and Google Cloud have announced an initiative to help businesses adopt generative AI to improve operations. The two companies will create a generative AI Centre of Excellence to help businesses build using GenAI.

The new centre will help businesses pick the best large language model for their requirements. This includes Google’s latest model Gemini. The Gemini Pro API is available in public preview now, with Gemini Ultra coming early next year.

The centre will combine Accenture’s model customisation services and engineering services with Google Cloud’s GenAI technology. It will include Vertex AI, which provides machine learning development tools, with APIs, MLOps tools, and native integrations with BigQuery for training, testing, and tuning models on a single platform. It also includes new rapid prototyping services on Google Cloud to accelerate development of GenAI applications. This includes use cases that apply generative AI to improve enterprise search, enhance customer contact centre experiences, automate unstructured document management and summarisation, and more.

Customers will also gain access to Accenture data and AI architects and engineers for AI model optimisation and foundation model customisation. This includes access to Accenture’s AI Navigator platform, curated industry datasets, and support for Google Cloud’s Model Garden collection, with responsible AI controls embedded throughout to help meet ethical and governance requirements.

The offering also includes Duet AI for Developers to support code generation and completion for customers—bringing generative AI to software engineering teams to enhance every stage of the development lifecycle.
