Last week, Tenovi revealed its Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) medication adherence device at HIMMSS24 in Orlando, looking to solve one of the major challenges in patient care once the patient has left the hospital.
According to an article by the American Heart Association, “Poor medication adherence takes the lives of 125,000 Americans annually, and costs the health care system as much as $300 billion a year in additional medical appointments, emergency department visits and hospitalizations.”
This is a big deal, particularly for patients who suffer from chronic illnesses, such as cardiac issues, diabetes, etc. Having access to an intelligent device that can not only track patient medication adherence, but send alert notifications and reminders is a game changer.
Tenovi plans to marry its Cellular Gateway with its patent-pending medication adherence device to help healthcare providers track and support patients as they follow their prescription regimens.
According to Nizan Friedman, Founder and CEO of Tenovi, “To drive scalable RTM med adherence programs, we need to provide a patient experience that is identical to the current standard of care, just smarter.” (EIN Presswire).
As personalized care and digitalization is transforming patient care and expectations throughout the world, more adherence technologies will come on the scene to improve patient outcomes and better manage care overall.
