As MedTech reported earlier this month, it seems that RDS is on the move in Europe. Not only did it receive the CE mark, but it also recently secured a round of funding to push its MultiSense wearable further into the European and US markets.

As access to intelligent wearables continues to flood the healthcare market, MultiSense is doing the sense-able thing and expanding its offerings to include its MultiSense patch, which includes miniature biosensors, an adhesive layer, and a 5-day battery to help monitor patient vitals. It’s out-of-the-box simplicity makes it easy for patients to operate the device and platform.

This device, platform, and service offering offers clinicians the ability to remotely monitor patient vitals to the same standard as a clinical monitoring system. The system monitors a variety of things, such as heart and respiratory rates, skin temperature, activity level, oxygen saturation, as well as body posture.

Currently working through its pre-commercialization phase, RDS is well underway with its MultiSense solution to begin its next phase of development in Europe. MedTech quotes RDS CEO, Elie Lobel, “The CE mark represents another important step on the path to marketing our solution Europe.” The device and platform already comply with GDPR and has obtained HDS certification.

Though RDS’ MultiSense solution has already completed 6 clinical trials, it still has more to go as it continues its outreach in Europe and plans to release the product in the US market in 2025.
