Seattle-based Littlebird Connected Care has developed a cellular-enabled digital health wearable specifically certified for young children.
Connected by T-Mobile’s network, the Littlebird Marlon offers connectivity and insights into children’s well-being, changing the way parents and caregivers monitor and interact with their kids.
It keeps parents connected to their children’s health and location with precision and reliability.
“We’re not just creating a device; we’re creating a lifeline between parents and their children,” said Monica Plath, CEO of Littlebird Connected Care. “Our relationship with T-Mobile, ensures that the Littlebird Marlon is the definitive solution for real-time, connected care, designed to grow with the family.”
Dan Thygesen, senior vice president at T-Mobile, added: “At T-Mobile, we are proud to be the network that will support the Littlebird Marlon. By utilisng T-Mobile’s network, Littlebird Connected Care can reliably provide parents with a confidence in their child’s well-being that doesn’t otherwise exist today.”
The Marlon will be available by VIP access in select markets in spring 2024, with a fuller rollout expected later in the year. Families can join the waitlist now.
“Every moment spent perfecting the Littlebird Marlon has been worth the wait,” said Plath “As parents ourselves, we understand that enhancing our product directly enriches the lives of families.”
The wrist-worn device connects to an app on the parent’s smartphone and is for children aged between one and five. The silicon latch is designed to be difficult for children to remove. The device uses GPS tracking and is Coppa, Hipaa and FCC compliant.
The Marlon uses biometric tracking to monitor a child’s sleep, heart rate and activity to help parents support their developmental, psychological and behavioural growth. The app empowers a caregiver to keep parents informed with chat, photos, location and mood updates. Updates are saved as memories on the child’s timeline.
Based in Seattle, Littlebird Connected Care (www.littlebird.care) is developing digital health products for children. In collaboration with T-Mobile, Littlebird says it is setting standards in family connectivity.
