This week, KORE Wireless announced a new alliance with GoRout, a ruggedized sports wearable company that specializes in coach-to-player communication that provides real-time information for on-field communications, revolutionizing athletics from tee-ball to the NFL.

Coaches can send information and play changes via tablets or smart phones to player wearable without having to use precious minutes for time outs or worry of sign stealing. Additionally, coaches can track team performance and make better calls as a result. This technology is reaching players from junior leagues all the way up to professional sports organizations.

KORE has helped GoRout launch more than 2,000 devices so far, providing connectivity as players and coaches hit the road and would typically struggle with finding continuous service. KORE does this via its SuperSIM which is part of its Connectivity-as-a-Service (CaaS) suite of offerings. The SuperSIM gives customers flexibility of choice between 400 tier-1 carriers throughout the world. KORE helps customers manage this through a dashboard and consolidated billing.

KORE President and CEO, Romil Bahl, said, “IoT is revolutionizing the way we live and play…No matter what sport, players really leave everything on the field, so using our technology to help optimize their performance is a big win for us.”
