Fitness equipment manufacturer iFIT has launched a new smart product line-up including new hardware, a redesigned operating system, and an interactive AI Coach. The company is launching over 40 different smart or smart-enabled products across its NordicTrack and ProForm home fitness brands.

The smart-enabled hardware across the NordicTrack and ProForm assortment supports iFIT’s proprietary SmartAdjust and ActivePulse technology for personalised workouts.

A new simplified User Interface has improved existing features and iFIT syncs with Strava, Garmin, Google Fit, and Apple Health. iFIT-enabled smart technology automatically matches the speed, incline, and resistance of the iFIT content and trainer to the current workout. SmartAdjust personalises these workouts to a member’s individual fitness level so they can stay fully immersed in trainer-led workouts. ActivePulse uses a member’s heart rate information to automatically adjust the workout to keep them in the right heart rate zone. Both of these personalisation systems adjust workout speed, incline and resistance to create personalised workouts.

The iFIT AI Coach, which is currently in beta, recommends iFIT workouts and trainers from iFIT’s outdoor fitness library of over 10,000 workouts. iFIT AI Coach communicates through texts so it can accompany users wherever they are. Workouts that iFIT AI Coach schedules automatically appear on the users’ iFIT-enabled machine.

The entire range features new screens and processors, including a new X24 Treadmill, a treadmill designed for incline training with up to 40% incline, an immersive new X24 Bike and updates to the -selling NordicTrack 2450 Commercial Treadmill.

iFIT has new features like the ability to watch popular streaming services while working out and Workout Creator that enables members to program their own library of personal workouts.

“We are at a turning point in fitness as AI enables us to deliver truly personal experiences,” said Kevin Duffy, iFIT Chief Executive Officer. “Our team has updated our entire hardware and software experience using best-in-class technology that delivers real results for every member.”
