Taiwanese computer firm Asus has announced the VivoWatch 6 Aero, said to be the world’s first smart band that’s able to take blood pressure and ECG measurements via a fingertip.

This device packs health monitoring features into a sleek wearable for personal health insights.

It can measure blood pressure and ECG readings instantly. Using a sputter deposition process, the PPG and ECG sensors are seamlessly integrated into the wristband for precise and reliable readings. With a touch of a finger, users can monitor their cardiovascular health.

The 2.8cm AMODED display delivers vibrant, clear visuals. Plus, the user interface offers stunning colours and detail to enhance the viewing experience.

Weighing 27g, the watch is designed for comfort without compromising functionality. It can monitor SpO2, heart rate, steps, calories and sleep quality, providing health insights. Offering built-in GPU for accurate tracking of activities, 5ATM water resistance and one-week battery life, the watch is ready for an active, vibrant lifestyle. Its black and pink bands can suit different moods and occasions.

Asus specialises in medical algorithms and biosensing technology, and the Health AI 5.0 algorithm that powers the VivoWatch 6 Aero collects and analyses data in real time to provide wearers with health insights throughout the day.

The watch has ECG, PPG, GPS and G sensors and is Bluetooth 5.0 enabled. It is compatible with Android 10 or iOS 13.0, or later for both.
