New Jersey-based remote technology company Artemis Care is helping Pennsylvanian home health intellectual and development disability provider OneWell care for patients.
OneWell’s SmartCare service offering and Artemis Care’s eCare4You remote care platform can together empower qualified clients to remain independent, healthy and safe in their homes and communities.
SmartCare will provide clients with timely reminders for social and medical appointments, activities of daily living, and medicines, along with daily check-ins in their preferred language. Clients with medical needs can use equipment to measure their vital signs and submit tailored health assessments via Alexa or smartphones.
The responses will be monitored by OneWell’s support staff who can alert their care providers promptly, enabling the participants to get timely care at home.
Clients may also book Uber rides and schedule in-home assistance through SmartCare.
This programme gives OneWell’s clients the opportunity to live with dignity and independence.
“We made a promise to build an integrated system to deliver healthcare efficiently at a lower cost,” said Aytekin Oldaç, CEO of OneWell. “SmartCare by OneWell delivers on this promise by providing higher quality care at a lower cost to our clients; allowing them to be safer and healthier in their homes and communities.”
Arun Bantval, president of Artemis Care, added: “This opportunity to partner with OneWell and integrate our technology with OneWell’s superlative services brings the best of all worlds to the participants, allowing them to be more independent, cared for, and safer at home. The ability to personalise and customise the solution to individual care needs means that the participants will get the right care they need when they need it.”
SmartCare uses conversational technology such as Amazon Alexa to ensure participant safety and a regular daily routine. Data are collected via approved medical equipment to produce readings through a portal that is easily accessible. All information is securely managed in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant requirements.
“We are very excited to be able to partner with Artemis Care and provide assistive technology to our participants,” said Cynthis SAeemiller, senior director at OneWell. “This allows them to feel more independent within their own home and lends itself to an increase of self-confidence that is priceless. It is amazing to be on the cutting edge of technology, that is solely for the benefit and growth of individuals with developmental disabilities that allow them to lead a life that truly embodies everyday life principles.”
