Experts say that the future of manufacturing is intelligent asset-tracking, and advances in supporting real-time data analytics, advances in indoor positioning and mapping, and AI are making this a reality today. Roughly one third of all IMC Adopter Members are involved in supply chains in one way or other, and this session will focus on use-cases for asset tracking in various industries that take advantage of the latest technologies.

Arne Aßmann, Head of Strategy and Business Development

Arne Aßmann is the Head of Strategy and Business Development at 1NCE. Prior to 1NCE he worked over 9 years as Analyst and Consultant for the research Company Statista to serve enterprise clients in the telco, media and IT sector. Arne produced market forecasts, business cases and developed go-to-market strategies. His industry focus and specialization is on M2M and IoT.

Panelists

Kim Bybjerg, VP IoT & Mobility

With extensive experience in the IoT field, Kim has been involved in countless IoT projects across Europe and outside, being responsible for the go-to-market strategy, the commercial and product strategy, as well as the execution of these strategies.
Prior to his role as Vice President IoT & Mobility at Tata Communications, Kim has been CEO of Teleena and Director Business Development for Jasper (now Cisco-Jasper), a large provider of IoT SaaS services for Telecom operators. Before that, he has been Managing Director at JHB Group. As Director M2M Northern Europe at Vodafone, Kim has been developing the M2M activities for one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world. Before Vodafone, he already setup the M2M business for KPN, where and for which he also established a partnership with Jasper.
Prior to becoming an expert within the IoT space, Kim held various Management positions at Orange, Siemens, IBM, and AT&T.

Sam Colley, CEO

Sam has specialized in business development within the global M2M/IoT ecosystem for over 8 years having worked in the UK, Spain and North America. Currently Sam is CEO of Pod Group USA and is based in San Francisco, where he runs all North American operations. Since being in the USA Sam has helped establish Pod’s reputation as an MVNO in the market, built out a successful partner program and continues to actively help expand Pod’s global footprint.

David Houghton, GM, Asset Tracking Business

David has over 25 years of experience working at the intersection of technology, business and performance improvement in a variety of strategic planning, management, operations, business development and sales posts environments including: Head of Enterprise IoT for James Brehm & Associates; Leading Sales and Business Development as a Director for Bright Wolf, an IoT software platform company; CEO of Veedims, driving the commercialization and go-to-market of a full stack IoT hardware and software platform; Consulting to Verizon, shaping and executing their healthcare vertical and identity solution strategies; Managed and led the sale of Systems Pathology Company; Vice President for SAIC, lead Commercial Life Sciences Practice
Mr. Houghton holds a BA in Economics from Villanova University.
