IoT Days Fall: IoT Security, Asset-Tracking Use-Cases
Date September 18, 2024 - September 19, 2024
Event Detail
The two biggest issues facing the IoT sector today are establishing security for remote device communications and the use of IoT technology to manage assets – the IMC’s big fall event will cover both. On Day One, IoT Days Fall will focus on security for deployments that cover all three layers of the IoT stack – device, network, and platform. Day Two will present a variety of use cases that are making the management of supply chains easier and more efficient.
Keynote: IoT Security Landscape – IMC’s Guidelines Initiative
The IMC has unveiled plans for a guidelines program for Adopters and Solutions Providers to assess the security of their own deployments and offerings. The Keynote will address the initiative’s format and role as a roadmap for the IoT industry to best achieve meaningful cybersecurity.
Panel Discussion: Extended Detection/Response (XDR) Takes Security Beyond the Device
Any device is only as secure as the network it runs on. Extended detection and response (XDR) strategies are being introduced that encompass Transport Layer Security (TLS), multiple cloud architectures, and more. IoT security is more than the device layer!
Panel Discussion: SBOM: IoT Security is a Journey, NOT a Destination
Over-the-air (OTA) updating has eased keeping up with security somewhat, but the basic challenge remains – the number and variety of malevolent attacks is increasing exponentially. This session will focus on Software Bill-of-Materials (SBOM) that can maintain control.
Panel Discussion: Asset Tracking without Borders
Standards-based non-terrestrial networks and connectivity convergence are changing the landscape for tracking assets around the globe. This session will concentrate on use-cases for the new connectivity protocols.
Spotlight: Navigating IoT Supply Chain Security in a Connected World
In an increasingly connected world, securing the IoT supply chain is paramount to ensuring the integrity and reliability of devices and networks. Join Jason Dietrich EVP of KORE as he explores the latest best practices and innovations in IoT security, focusing on how to protect every stage of the supply chain, from manufacturing to deployment.
Spotlight: eSIM Technology for IoT Telematics, Improving the Visibility of Supply Chains Globally
Global Asset Monitoring and Management are key elements to a successful data driven operation, and asset control, fleet management, and tracking are essential data sources for those elements. In order to keep track of precise asset location, product condition, security against theft, and the ability to update assets remotely; you need edge computing capable global telematics with matching intelligent global connectivity. Minimize your inventory and telematics sku assortment with global solutions.
Spotlight: GPS and BLE: A Smart Approach to Asset Management
BLE tags can enhance and transform the established GPS tracking business. In this talk, we will discuss the integration of BLE technology into traditional GPS tracking systems, highlighting how it adds precision and efficiency to asset management.
Discover how the GPS tracking industry is evolving new technologies, and consider whether this integration will redefine the essence of tracking itself.
