City as a Platform – Latest Technology and Market Trends

Date December 13, 2018
Time 11am ET

Event Detail

Modern cities are quickly evolving into their own digital platforms that can gather and digest data from myriad sources. Technologies like 5G networks, edge computation, and big data analytics are enabling this trend, which is beginning to manifest itself in much increased vehicle-to-vehicle communications, increased analysis of public safety cameras, and predictive maintenance of public infrastructure, among many other things. Massive deployment of relatively simple sensor loops has already led to substantial changes in the way cities manage energy, public safety, waste, traffic, parking and much more. This session will examine the state of current solutions, cutting edge technology, and where the smart cities market will take us from here.
