Hannover Messe 2022 Welcome

Hubertus von Monschaw, Global Director Trade Fair and Product Management HANNOVER MESSE at Deutsche Messe AG

Track 1: Reducing Downtime with Remote Monitoring, Predictive Maintenance

Fast improving edge processing and connectivity make it easier and more effective to act on real-time data generated from operations. Embedded technology has become standardized in manufacturing to the point that OEMs can now view service-level agreements for maintenance as a well-established revenue stream.

Track 2: Easing Supply Chain Management with Asset Tracking

With supply chains of all sorts under pressure around the globe, it’s never been more important to track assets for location and condition. New forms of connectivity – including low-power cellular and LEO satellites – are helping the cause by offering new price/performance scenarios. Supply chain managers can rest easier knowing where their assets are and in what condition.

Track 3: IoT Backbone Integration Provides Real Benefits

Collecting data at the edge is only as effective as what you do with it and integration of IoT data flows with backbone systems for ERP and CRM can be critical. New low-/no-code IoT platforms are making this easier and faster to implement than ever. Platform providers will share examples of how to make speed deployment of IoT technology and make it more meaningful to the bottom line.

Track 4: Government Policy May Help Manufacturing Sectors

The digitalization of manufacturing, known as “smart manufacturing”, “Industry 4.0” or even the fourth industrial revolution, is poised to transform manufacturing, and increase American manufacturing competitiveness. Despite this, adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, processes and practices is still low. The United States government, through its Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program helps manufacturers navigate a variety of challenges, including the transition to Industry 4.0, to accelerate and strengthen growth and competitiveness in the global marketplace. This session will discuss the role of the MEP program, and IoT technologies in driving Industry 4.0 adoption among manufacturers.
