Day 1: Wednesday, 21 September

This track will include a keynote address, panel discussions, and individual presentations.

Panel 1: What Makes IoT Projects Succeed?

This session will discuss the characteristics of successful IoT technology deployments – specifically, those things that increase ROI, reduce time-to-deployment, and improve other KPI’s. Use cases and success stories from a variety of vertical-market applications will be highlighted.

Panel 2: Embedded Tech: IoT as the Fulcrum

Product makers, designers, and OEMs are more likely than ever to look at connectivity plans when developing their products. And those IoT connectivity options have expanded to allow for customized performance in terms of bandwidth, latency, coverage, and, of course, cost. Axel Sikora, content lead for the world’s largest embedded event – Embedded World Conference (Nuremberg) – will dive into how new forms of connectivity are affecting the embedded design process, then lead an all-star panel to discuss how the embedded and IoT marketplaces are moving closer together.

Day 2: Thursday, 22 September

This track will include a keynote address, a panel discussion, and individual presentations.

Panel: IoT Security at Each Layer of the Stack

This session will look at IoT best practices for security and privacy from the device, through the network, and into the cloud. Real-world problems will be emphasized, including issues with certificates, VPN’s, API’s, and TLS, as well as a look at GDPR and other policy related issues.
